Instaclustr is pleased to announce the immediate availability of an Early Access Program (EAP) for Elasticsearch on the Instaclustr Managed Platform. This milestone marks the first step in a program for Elasticsearch to join Apache Cassandra®, Apache Kafka® and Apache Spark™ as technologies available on the Instaclustr Managed Platform, allowing customers to use a single provider to manage the key open source technologies required to deliver reliability at scale.
Participation in Instaclustr’s Elasticsearch Early Access Program, available to a limited number of qualified customers, will bring several benefits to participating customers:
- No-cost management of Elasticsearch during the EAP period
- Significant discounts for transition to the full managed service when it is available
- Direct consultation with Instaclustr’s product team to influence the features of our final Elasticsearch offering
Instaclustr’s Elasticsearch managed service will bring to Elasticsearch the same high standards of support, security and reliability that customers love from our Apache Cassandra and Apache Kafka managed service offerings. This selection of key enabling open-source data foundation technologies enables Instaclustr’s customers to rely on a single trusted provider of open-source technologies to more simply and quickly deliver scale, reliability and multi-cloud compatibility for their applications.
Instaclustr expects General Availability of a full-featured Elasticsearch offering on the Instaclustr Managed Platform in the first half of 2019. This release will include support across all existing supported cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud and On-Premises) and full compliance with Instaclustr’s SOC2 certified security environment.
With the introduction of the Elasticsearch EAP, Instaclustr will be ceasing support for provisioning of new Elassandra clusters on the Instaclustr platform.
