Available Now – Instaclustr Managed Service for Elassandra

Instaclustr, the best way to run Apache Cassandra in the cloud, is excited to announce the release of our Managed Elassandra offering. Elassandra and Kibana are now available as options for automatic provisioning through the Instaclustr Management Console. Elassandra can be used in our free trials on the Google Compute Platform.

Elassandra gives you the power of ElasticSearch to search your data directly from Cassandra – without developing custom integration or synchronisation code.

Our Elassandra and Kibana offering provides:

  • The ability to load and store data in Cassandra through CQL, with automatic indexing of loaded data using an Elasticsearch-based secondary index.
  • The ability to load, search and retrieve data stored in Cassandra through standard Elasticsearch REST APIs.
  • Kibana – a powerful user interface to explore, analyse and visualise your data via search.
  • All of this, provisioned within minutes and monitored, managed and supported by Instaclustr’s renowned managed service capability.

We’ve published a complete overview of the features of Elassandra here.

Elassandra is currently offered as a beta release without SLAs. However, should you wish to plan production usage, we would be happy to agree on a joint testing program to provide full production support and SLAs for specific applications.

We will be publishing a lot more information about our Elassandra offering (including benchmarking and tutorials) over the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you would like further information then please contact [email protected].
