This release includes a variety of bug fixes, but the primary one is to revert an optimization that results in a bug that could [cause corrupted indexes created using the CONCURRENTLY option](https://www.postgresql.org/message-id/flat/17485-396609c6925b982d%40postgresql.org). It is recommended that after applying this upgrade, any indexes using CONCURRENTLY should be re-created. It is rare for the PostgreSQL project to perform out of band minor release, however they do occasionally happen when there is a particularly nasty issue like this. As with all PostgreSQL releases, there is much more information available in the official PostgreSQL [release notes](https://www.postgresql.org/docs/release/14.4/), as well as in the release notes for each version of the documentation. For customers who are running PostgreSQL on the managed platform, we will use our maintenance event system to schedule an appropriate time to upgrade your clusters.
