Redis 7.0.4, released around the middle of July 2022, is the latest version of Redis and the first Redis 7 release we have offered. Compared to the last Redis 6 release, Redis 7 contains numerous bug fixes, some potentially breaking changes, a few performance enhancements, and additions to the API. For information on these and details of other changes, please refer to the [release notes of 7.0.x available on Github.](https://github.com/redis/redis/releases) Security conscious customers will note that[ CVE-2022-24735](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2022-24735), which was given a CVSS v3 severity of high in the National Vulnerability Database, is one of the security vulnerabilities fixed in this release, along with[ CVE-2022-24736](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2022-24736) and [CVE-2022-31144](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2022-31144). For new customers, we recommend using the newly released version.
