Instaclustr Insights – Taylor Bliszcz

While open source technology is the backbone of who we are, our customers are the lifeblood of our business. We value our customers, and the Customer Success team is an integral part of building a lasting relationship with customers to provide them with the best possible experience and ensure their continued satisfaction.

Instaclustr has built a team dedicated to the success of a customer through customer experience and customer outcomes. Meet one of our Sales Engineering team members below!

Below are some questions we asked Taylor— the responses are in his own words.

1. What does your role at Instaclustr entail?

I spend time speaking with clients and talking to prospective clients. I help them with everything around early-stage technical heavy aspects of the deal, initial contact to close, and onboarding. I conduct demos as needed and bring in the right people/specialist to help solve customer problems.

2. What does a typical day look like for you?

My day-to-day is never the same. I have anywhere from one to four meetings per day. I spend a few hours working on quotes for clients, internal and customer meetings, and solving challenges with closing a deal on the technical side. When solving a client’s problem, I have a lot of internal and external conversations with people to make sure we are giving them the best technology possible.

3. How did you first get interested in a technology career?

At ten years old I started to sell pokemon cards on eBay. I was fascinated with using the internet for commerce. I also played many online games, and in college had a natural talent for computers. Then I went into Tech Sales.

4. When did you join Instaclustr—and why?

I joined Instaclustr in May 2021. I was excited for this new opportunity, as it involved more tech than a typical sales job.

5. What’s been your favorite part about Instaclustr since joining?

I was intrigued by Instaclustr because it was a smaller company than I was used to. I also felt the product is very relevant and in-demand; it’s something that people want and need.

6. Why is it an exciting time to be in tech?

Technology is constantly growing. There is always new stuff coming out; it’s the future. The world runs on software, and it is exciting to know what’s happening behind the scenes. Without it, we would be living in the 80s!
