As the official release of OpenSearch 2.0 approaches, along with the End-of-life (EOL) of Apache 2.0 Licensed Elasticsearch, we would like to provide our customers who are still running Open Distro for Elasticsearch (ODFE) clarity regarding the continued support of the offering.

Instaclustr will cease support for ODFE on 24 May, 2023, and customers will need to migrate to OpenSearch prior to this date. During the period between now and 24 May, 2023 ODFE will be maintained with critical fixes only.

Over the last 6 months, our Instaclustr Support team has assisted multiple customers in migrating from ODFE to OpenSearch, and we are available to ensure that our customers have a flexible and seamlessly executed migration experience. The vast majority of ODFE applications can be migrated to OpenSearch without any modification.
