AWS will provide a brief overview of current industry challenges and a forward view of the emerging agenda for Financial Services, including Open Banking and the adoption of AI and Machine Learning.


Ben Slater, Instaclustr

As Chief Product Officer, Ben is charged with steering Instaclustr’s development roadmap and overseeing the product engineering, production support, open source and consulting teams. Ben has over 20 years experience in systems development including previously as lead architect for the product that is now Oracle Policy Automation and over 10 years as a solution architect and project manager for Accenture. He has extensive experience in managing development teams and implementing quality controlled engineering practices.

David Fodor, AWS

For over 20 years David has worked within the Financial Services industry both domestically and in the UK, accumulating a diverse skill-set transcending the banking value chain. David has led large onshore and offshore operational teams spanning Product Management, Finance, Risk, Procurement and HR operations. David spent the last five years of his tenure in Banking driving Technology Transformation agendas focused on core banking and analytic platforms. He joined the Amazon Web Services Business Development team in 2017 as the FSI lead for Australia and New Zealand. David is an authentic leader, coach and mentor. David is an ambassador for the Movember Foundation as a passionate promoter of the importance of positive mental health in the workplace. David is a member of the Australian Industry of Company Directors and holds an Economics degree from La Trobe University.
