Instaclustr Achieves ISO 27001 and ISO 27018 Certifications

Instaclustr is pleased to announce that we have achieved 2 additional security certifications: ISO 27001 and ISO 27108. These certifications provide additional assurance to customers and partners that Instaclustr has implemented extensive controls and processes regarding data protection. As internationally recognized standards for information security, ISO 27001 and ISO 27018 demonstrate Instaclustr’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding data for our customers on a global scale.

ISO 27001 establishes a systematic framework to securely manage the sensitive information of an entire organization regardless of type, including physical and electronic. ISO 27018 is a code of practice specifically for cloud service providers that creates additional security controls and guidelines in handling customers personally identifiable information, including data protection, privacy, and incident management.

Adding to our existing SOC 2 and PCI certifications (for selected offerings) as well as GDPR and HIPAA support, the addition of ISO 27001 and ISO 27108 helps to ensure that we have the security certifications required to easily meet our customer’s compliance requirements.

To achieve these certifications, Instaclustr–alongside other NetApp business units—underwent an audit by Schellman, an accredited certification body. The audit verified that our information security management systems (ISMS) complied with the stringent requirements for both certifications.
