What is Cadence?
Cadence, open sourced by Uber under the MIT license, is a service and programming framework that greatly simplifies the development and operations of workflow-style business logic while supporting the most demanding availability, reliability, and scalability requirements. By reconstituting the application state following a hardware or software failure, Cadence allows the creation of applications that are truly fault-oblivious.
The Cadence workflow engine simplifies the process of developing and running process-driven business logic at the highest levels of scale and reliability. Cadence is able to scale horizontally to handle millions of concurrent workflows and is used by many of the largest organizations in the world. It can support nearly any use case that requires tracking and maintaining application state, handling asynchronous events, or orchestrating workflows across complex and interdependent microservices.

Built-in Monitoring

You can easily access these metrics at any time via the Instaclustr Console or our Monitoring API. Instaclustr’s Technical Operations team is alerted and will take corrective action as needed.
