Instaclustr is pleased to announce the immediate availability of a new feature, Configurable Backups, for our Instaclustr for Redis on Instaclustr’s SaaS Platform.

Configurable Backups allows users to specify the frequency and other details, such as defining when backups should take place. With the new implementation, customers wishing to have more control over their backups, will have a broad flexibility to choose a backup option that fits their use case – from remaining with the default behaviour, to defining a time for a daily-triggered backup, or a specific hour, or at a specified minute every hour. For existing and new clusters where this option is not exercised, nothing in regards to how backups are scheduled or triggered changes; they would continue to be backed up daily as per the default schedule.
