Instaclustr for Redis™ Now Supports Redis 6.2.7

Instaclustr is pleased to announce the general availability of Redis version 6.2.7 on the Instaclustr platform.

Redis 6.2.7, released at the end of April 2022, includes numerous bug fixes, a couple of security vulnerability fixes, and some performance enhancements. Security conscious customers will note that CVE-2022-24735, which was given a CVSS v3 severity of high in the National Vulnerability Database, is one of the security vulnerabilities fixed in this release, along with CVE-2022-24736. You can read more about how Instaclustr for Redis was impacted by CVE-2022-24735 in our blog here.

Please also note that some command behavior changes (#10095 and #9692) have been introduced in Redis 6.2.7 compared to 6.2.6, which can cause issues when migrating from the older to newer release. For information on these and details of other changes, please refer to the release notes of 6.2.7 available on Github.

For new customers, we recommend using the newly released version. For existing customers who are currently running an older version and wish to upgrade to version 6.2.7, we advise opening a support ticket to get assistance from our TechOps team.
