Range Slice

You can find monitoring information about Range Slice traffic by viewing the metrics under the Client Multi Partition Reads & Latency option. Range slices are a type of Cassandra read query which can hit multiple partitions. Under some circumstances, this can cause high latency, long GC pauses, and node instability.  Read our support article on how to detect and avoid range slice issues in Cassandra.

Reads per second and request latency are the metrics available for range slices.
