Elasticsearch Index

For Legacy Support Purposes Only

Under the index, there are two metrics, index operation and index latency metrics. Index operation metric is calculated from a number of records and time taken to write indices giving us indexing rate. This metric is needed for monitoring and analyzing Elasticsearch performance easier when there is a write-heavy workload, updating indices with new information.  Please note, sudden spikes and dups in indexing rates could indicate issues with data sources. As documents are updated, added and removed from an index, the cluster needs to continually update their indexes and then refresh them across all the nodes. A fair amount of time is required to complete the indexing process. Therefore, we have an Index latency metric to know the amount of time taken to complete each index operation. If you see very high index latency, please contact our support center.
